Hey There Friends! I’ve got so much to share that I don’t even know where to start. Life’s been mighty busy this week. Maybe if I work backwards and borrow heavily from my Instagram….
Yesterday I got a b**** of a migraine. I wound up leaving work early and going to bed. All I wanted to eat was bread so I polished off most of a loaf of foccacia that HH bought me.
Wednesday was awesome but very busy. I met with Kate to choose pictures for my album and OMG I CAN’T WAIT TO SHOW THEM OFF!! My pictures came out amazing. Guys, I feel like a princess. I’ll probably get my pictures right around Halloween.
I also got in a great workout. Despite forgetting to pack socks in my gym bag.
I did the Pull workout from week 13 of MWGTST. It included trap bar deadlifts (which I’d never done) and unassisted chin-ups, which I felt super strong doing. Granted I was only able to string together 3 per set but they were unassisted.
Tuesday was like Monday for Girlie. It was a gorgeous, hot, sunny day in NH, which is rare in October. We had plans for her to go to yoga but her bus was late (boo!) and she had homework. We went to the gym a bit later than planned. She upped her reps on the kiddo circuit and was told that next week she can up her weights, yay for Girlie! I did the Push workout from Week 13 of MWGTST. It included the first bench presses I’ve done in months along with pushups. My chest was sore for 2 days!
Both Girlie’s school and our library were closed for Columbus Day. My work was not. HH stayed home with her while I was at work. I enjoyed some Girlie time while he went to the gym, then I headed out again. One of my friends is involved with Carry the Fallen, an organization working to decrease the horrible frequency of suicide among our Veterans and raise awareness of their struggles. She was hosting a fundraiser at Margaritas so I met up with some friends. It was great to chat and have a couple drinks while supporting such an important cause. Blogger fail, I got no pictures.
Last weekend I did something I never do. I went grocery shopping without a list or a plan. Once there I managed to piece together this meal plan. Which we actually stuck with. Except last night, when I ate bread with a little soup.
We also went apple picking over the weekend.
It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a great time. We picked Spencer apples, which I’d never had before. They were delish plus we felt like they would be perfect for our family 😉
There’s my last week! Tonight we’re doing some final cleaning for my party tomorrow. Then tomorrow we celebrate my Fit Forty with a Halloween costume party.
What was one exciting thing from your week? Anything you’re looking forward to this weekend?
