Happy Friday!! It’s the first official Friday of Fall, so the perfect time to make some new goals. I don’t know about you but this time of year always feels like a beginning to me.
I set up my health coach goals back in July. They worked (mostly) well for me. Until about 2 weeks ago when life got extra chaotic. So, going back to my last official weigh-in and body comp those goals helped me lose 3.29lbs of fat and a gain of 2.89lbs of lean mass. Not bad. Not bad t’all.
Back to the current chaos though. Between my job and Girlie’s schedule and … life I guess… I don’t have as much gym time right now as I have in the past. I’m pretty sure that in the past couple weeks of missed workouts and unplanned/unprepped meals I’ve reversed a bit of that progress. With that in mind, here are my new goals.
Movement: Get at least 30 minutes of intentional movement six days a week. That could be strength training, cardio, yoga, or just a walk. I’ve skipped too many workouts lately because I haven’t had the time to do what was on the plan. I’ve been looking at short bodyweight and gym based workouts that I can cobble together. I love following programs but right now I just need to be able to get something done!
Nutrition: I’m going to have to be a lot more flexible with my workouts which means I’m really going to have to clean up my eating. Less protein bars, more real food or protein shakes. Dial back the desserts. Meal prep, meal prep, meal prep. The more I manage to get done in 1 afternoon the less time I’ll need to spend in the kitchen all week.
Mindset: Be honest with myself about movement and nutrition. Only read actual paper books in bed. (AKA no use of screens at bedtime!)
Bonus: Get Girlie and I scheduled for dental cleanings. HH is a big boy, he can arrange his own;-)
Those are my autumn health goals. Are you setting up any new goals this season?
