Remember on Monday when I realized I never published Friday’s post? Well, I added to it and here it is. Since I actually am talking about fitness I’m joining the lovely ladies Nicole and Jill for their Friday linkups. Make sure to visit them!
The past couple weeks hasn’t been much fitness wise. Between the remnants of a nasty cold that knocked me out and the delightful stomach bug that decided to come home from school and some birthday celebrating and some serious stress there’s been a whole lot of sitting around and eating carbs. I wasn’t sure what to write about until I read Tina’s post and remembered that I used to do surveys on Fridays.
Herb I love to cook with: Basil in the summer and sage in the winter.
Book worth returning to: Just one? I consider books to be like friends, I revisit them pretty often. Lately I’ve been rereading Deborah Crombie’s Duncan Kincaid & Gemma James mysteries and the Pendergast novels by Preston & Childs.
Binge-worthy show: We recently finished watching the newest season of Longmire on Netflix. I don’t want to admit how few days it took us to chomp through.
Podcast: I loved Serial but haven’t been able to get into a podcast since.
App I’m addicted to: Instagram. I still use Facebook a lot too but I love Instagram.
Skincare products: I love this BB cream. It’s just so perfect on my skin. I use the Target makeup remover wipes all the time. They’re perfect for keeping in my gym bag.
Surprising thing I collect: Library cards. I have a library card from every library I’ve ever been a member of.
Natural beauty trick: Water. Staying hydrated definitely impacts the way I look and feel.
On the fitness front I do have a little bit I want to talk about. On Monday I celebrated my birthday with a beautiful fall trail run. Wednesday night I went to the gym and had a great workout. I had been having a rough day with myself (I’m working on a post on that) and was feeling pretty defeated when I got changed into my gym clothes (they aren’t exactly fitting great). I’ve recently restarted the Modern Woman’s Guide to Strength Training block one. I had a significant PR on both goblet squats and angled pulls and it completely changed my attitude.
That’s it for me. What about you? Answer any of the questions above!
