Happy November! I haven’t done a Virtual Coffee Date in far too long! Pour yourself a cup and settle in for a nice chat.
If we were meeting for coffee I’d show you pictures of our pets and tell you all about their silly antics. Merlin loves to bat items under doors, especially under our pantry door. Any missing hair ties, bracelets, or other small objects are likely to be found on the floor of our pantry. All three pets like to spend their days in my office. If we were meeting for coffee I’d ask if you have any fun pet stories to share.
If we were meeting for coffee I’d tell you that my office is probably the sunniest room in our house. I’d explain that I’m solar powered so this office (and this move) is good for me. I’d tell you about the months we spent in our dark, temporary apartment and how little I managed to accomplish (other than gaining weight). I’d talk about low grade depression and how I never really know I’ve dealt with a bout of it until it’s over. If we were meeting for coffee I’d want to know how your mental health has been and if you’re impacted by the weather like I am.
If we were meeting for coffee I’d want to talk about how well Girlie has adjusted to this move. I think this school is really a good fit for her. She made Safety Patrol/ Car Patrol. I drop her off at school early every morning so she can help the other kids out of their cars at drop off. Lately I’ve been getting to enjoy some gorgeous sunrises on my way back home.
If we were meeting for coffee I’d want to know how your kids are doing. Anything you want to brag about? Anything you’re stressing about?
If we were meeting for coffee I’d share that I’m ready to attack losing the weight I’ve gained over the past year or so. HH’s company holiday party is five weeks out and I have my plan of attack ready. This is somehow the motivating factor I needed. I started running again (yay!) because I realized that it was bothering me not to be able to run for a half hour straight. I remember back when Girlie was a baby wanting to be one of those people who run and how strong I felt when I could just pull off 3 miles any old time. I want that again. So, while I know that it isn’t the best exercise for me for fat loss, I’ve added running days into my program. If we were meeting for coffee I’d want to know if you have any new fitness goals.
If we were meeting for coffee, what would you want to talk about?
