Happy Friday!!! Is it just me or does the first full week after a short week seem to drag on and on?
My last workout wrap up was on Saturday. After I posted that I went to the gym for arm day. I felt a lot stronger than the week before when I was just getting over a cold. I also treated myself to a nice epsom salts bubble bath and glass of bubbly after.
Sunday was a rest day. If you count a million loads of laundry a rest day. At least this house has laundry on the main floor. Our last house had laundry in the basement and bedrooms on the second floor so laundry day counted as cardio. I don’t miss that but I think my body might.
Monday was chest and back focused. Girlie had camp this week so my schedule was off. I had to get my workout in during my lunch hour so it had to be quick! I was able to get it done but my push up and pull up numbers were impacted by my lack of rest between sets. I also took Spenser for a quick morning walk.
Tuesday I was able to coordinate with HH so that I could hit the gym after work. It was one of those days when I just wanted to keep snacking! It was leg day and I really took my time and got a lot done. I felt really strong and walked out of the gym with a big smile (and a lot of sweat) on my face. I impressed myself by managing to keep dinner reasonable and minimize my usual PM snack so that I kept my calories where they should be. My macros were pretty awful but it’s still a win.
Wednesday was active recovery. I took Spenser for a nice long walk at lunch and did a yoga flow too. I also took the time during a conference call to foam roll my poor sore legs.
Today was supposed to be cardio or active recovery. I slept like crap though and decided to take it as a rest day. I couldn’t even get motivated to do yoga by the pool. Friday is also my weigh in day. I was happy to see that things are moving in the right direction!
