It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Monday Morning Coffee Break post! Here are some links I’ve enjoyed lately.
Here’s a list of out-of-the box self care ideas. https://www.buzzfeed.com/rachelwmiller/best-self-care-ideas-for-practical-people While I love my bubble baths I’ve been loving taking a moment to put my bare feet on the grass to ground myself too. (Sorry, Floridaspoiled.)
It’s no secret that I love all things s’mores. While these No-Bake Fluffernutters are clearly billed as a Christmas dessert they could easily be adjusted a bit for summertime parties. http://www.thecandidappetite.com/no-bake-chocolate-dipped-fluffernutter/
Who would have thought I would share a link from Glamour magazine? But this post on work life balance resonated. https://www.glamour.com/story/how-to-care-less-about-work-stress
One of the points that article touches on is to create a ritual between work and home in order to divide the two. This article breaks that down much better. https://ideas.ted.com/never-take-a-bad-work-day-home-again-using-these-3-steps/https://ideas.ted.com/never-take-a-bad-work-day-home-again-using-these-3-steps/
One of the ways I’ve been making my transition a bit easier is by using the Instant Pot I received as a Christmas present. Fortunately I found this recipe for chicken breasts that come out perfect every time. I change up the seasonings (Like chicken stock or marinade instead of the juice. I’m from New England so Bell’s Seasoning appears often.) depending on my intent for the evening but the technique works wonderfully. https://amindfullmom.com/instant-pot-chicken-breasts/
As an introvert I generally struggle with and dismiss small talk. This post helped me see it in a new light and gave me some great ideas. https://ideas.ted.com/heres-why-you-shouldnt-shy-away-from-small-talk/
Have you read anything new lately? Or written anything new lately? I’d love for you to share it in the comments!
