Hey There Friends! It’s not just the first Saturday of the month, it’s the first Saturday of the year! So I’m joining Deborah and Coco for the Ultimate Coffee Date. So pour yourself a cup and let’s chat!
If we were meeting for coffee I’d tell you that I had a solo beach day last week and it was so very needed! It wasn’t an ideal beach day, kinda cloudy and breezy. But that meant the crowds weren’t there! It was actually perfect in that way, I enjoyed a few quiet hours and then the sun came out and so did all the people. By then I was ready to head home and leave them to it. Going to the beach has always filled my spirit in ways that nothing else does.
Way back when we lived in Maine (before Girlie was even born) we lived 3 miles from the beach. I kept a beach chair and a towel etc in my car all summer long and would take whatever opportunities I had for beach time. Even if it was just a quick walk or time to journal. Now we’re a bit further (maybe 20 minutes?) But it’s year round. I realized that I need to do the same thing I did back then and stay prepared for spontaneous beach trips. So I’m keeping my beach chair in my car again!
If we were meeting for coffee I’d want to know what places and activities fill your spirit. How can you get more of that in this new year?
Speaking of filling my spirit, we realized over Christmas that we hadn’t really found a church home in over a year. There’s a church I want to give a visit soon. Hopefully it’ll work out well!
If we were meeting for coffee I’d want to ask if you’re a church person. And if so, what makes it feel like home for you?
Thanks to Coco and Deborah for hosting this monthly coffee date. Make sure to have coffee with the other bloggers too!
If we were to have coffee, what would you want to talk about?
