Hey There Friends! Happy Monday! Today I have links for you to read and links with ideas of books to read. And just a reminder- the links are arranged approximately lightest to heaviest.
My company did a couple videos of things kids and partners have learned about employees since quarantine started (we all work from home anyway) and it was hilarious. This post on funny things teens have learned about their parents during this time reminded me of those.
I’ve been looking for some new things to read so this post on witchy books to get into gave me some good ideas.
I’ve kept a library card from every place I’ve ever lived as a memento. Teri mentions in this book list post that her mom buys a bookmark from everywhere she travels as a souvenir. I love that idea!
For a new non-fiction book this recommendation for parents of teens has me really interested.
When Girlie was in preschool and early elementary and I’d hear that there were colds or stomach bugs going around I’d have her change clothes when she got home. I guess that’s the same idea as “Inside Clothes”. As someone who finds that my mental health does better when I’m dressed at least somewhat well (I like to call it “dressy sweats”) and works from home anyway my version may be different. I’m going to need to put some thought into this once we start actually leaving the house a bit more!
This article on white privilege is a couple of years old but really breaks things down so clearly and so well. I wish that we didn’t have to keep explaining it, I really do. But… apparently we do.
I’d love to hear what you think about the posts above! Also, as always, if you have something you’ve read (or even better!) written that you think I’d like to read or share please share it with me!
