Hey There Friends! I was lucky to get not one but two presents to review from my friends over at PaMu… the Mini and the new PaMu Quiet!

If you remember last year I reviewed the original PaMu slide earphones. They were great, but the new ones are soo much better! My daughter immediately snagged the Minis for herself. She loves the way they fit in her hand and pocket. They completely match her aesthetic, especially with her current black manicure.

I was immediately drawn to the old school, almost steampunk pocket watch style of the PaMu Quiet. I do tend to hesitate with sound blocking earphones though. As a woman who walks alone often, I need to be able to hear what’s going on around me. With that in mind I was happy to find that I could turn the sound blocking on and off in the PaMu app. I was also able to customize the controls of the earphones, which I liked.

A couple of things that weren’t perfect (My opinions are always honest!). The setup took me a while to figure out. I kept syncing the left earphone to my phone but the right wouldn’t work. Then, once I put them in to just give it a shot… I realized it was working fine. Apparently you don’t have to sync the right? The directions were a little murky on this point. Also, I like to sometimes take one earbud out mid-workout and these will automatically pause when I do that. I can use one earphone if I start out that way, but not stopping. (If that makes sense.) Not huge issues… just minor things.
One huge thing I loved… the bluetooth on these are really strong. I was able to start my music outside on my balcony and leave my phone there while going back inside to get something. There was no loss of sound quality despite a closed door and definite distance. None of my other earphones have worked this well.
